Co-Curricular Activities & Athletics

Lincoln offers many co-curricular activities and all students are encouraged to participate in one or more activities. Co-curricular activities are defined as programs or out-of-class activities that are supervised and/or financed by the Portland Public Schools.  Participation in co-curricular activities is voluntary.  These activities are not part of the regular academic curriculum, are not graded, and do not earn academic credits.

The goal of these activities is life enrichment of each participant through development of good sportsmanship, citizenship, skills, health, strength, self-reliance, emotional maturity, and social growth.  We challenge every Lincoln student to become involved in at least one co-curricular activity or club each year. Be part of LMS by getting involved!

Athletic and Co-Curricular Activities Code of Conduct for Middle and High School Students

Since participation in athletic and co-curricular activities is a privilege, it is important that students, parents/guardians and other interested persons are aware of the following rules and regulations. As representatives of the schools, students are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times.  These rules are adopted by the Portland Board of Public Education (The Board) in order to support the social, emotional and physical well-being of students and promote healthy, enriching and safe athletic and co-curricular opportunities for all students.
