Lincoln Families,

We are nearing the end of November and it feels like our collective action is finally coming together! We have hired a long time teacher to cover our 8-1 ELA class, Claire Murray, an 8th Grade Science Teacher, Jenn Carter, starting on Dec. 5th, our School Climate Coordinator, Bobbie Thibodeau, starting on Nov. 28 and 2 Ed Techs, Quinn Bermingham and Heather Harvey. Simultaneously, we’ve had several of our families volunteer and help us out. I greatly appreciate this!

Change takes time and we are seeing the positive effects of this change. #LincolnStrong We hope that this coming break is restful and we will see you back at school on November 28!

Some of our clubs have started, but it is not too late to join! The LMS Calendar page includes Club Teachers and additional information!

  • All-Stars/Homework Club - Please check with your Lion’s Pride Advisor for the days this is held for your house.

Tuesday

  • 8th Grade Math Team - 7:30-8:20 AM, room G4
  • Black Student Union - Meets during Lion’s Pride in room G5
  • 6th Grade Math Team - 2:50-4:00pm,  room 204. We will have 4 competitions with other schools. Our first competition is in December and the club goes until the first week of May.
  • Civil Rights Team - 2:50-4:00pm, room 210. Seeking grownups from the Lincoln community who want to help support the team as a Community Advisor. Please fill out this form here! Learn more about what Civil Rights Teams do.
  • Dungeons and Dragons Club - 2:50-4:00pm, Learning Commons. Come by if you are interested in role-playing games, adventure, and having lots of fun!

Thursday

  • SAGA - Sexuality and Gender Alliance - 2:50-4:00pm, room 304. We are a community of LGBTQIA+ and allies. At SAGA meetings, we build community and have fun. We want LMS to be a place where LGBTQIA+ students and staff feel safe and connected.

Future Clubs

  • Art Club - More information to come!
  • Drama Club - Fridays starting in January.
  • Garden Club - Mondays starting in March. Open to any Lincoln Middle School student who would like to help out with caring for and maintaining our school gardens. Students will learn and experience various garden techniques for growing food & other plants both indoors and outdoors. We will meet in Mrs. Driscoll's room (room 10) then head outdoors! 
  • Girls Who Code - Starting in January. More information to come as the date draws nearer.
  • Ski Club - January - March, after school to 9:15pm, Pleasant Mountain, Bridgton.
