Parent Teacher Organization
Who belongs to the Lincoln PTO?
You do! We welcome every parent and caregiver to make a difference at Lincoln in whatever way works for you! You can help with an after school club, make muffins for teachers, chaperone a student dance, or contribute your time and talents in many other ways. Join the email list to keep up with the PTO!
Our Purpose: The PTO exists to promote and support the education and well-being of Lincoln Middle School students and community through experiential enrichment, curriculum support, community engagement, and positive culture building. The organization helps build bridges between parents and the school.
Fill out volunteer application
Everyone who volunteers at a Portland school must fill out a volunteer application and have it approved by the district. It's a necessary (and quick) process, so please fill it out so you'll be ready to volunteer at Lincoln!
Please fill out a Volunteer form if you have not done so in the last three years:
Make it Happen!
Would you like to give back to your community? Are you looking for a meaningful civic engagement experience? Become an academic coach with the Make It Happen program at Lincoln!
Serve just one afternoon a week from 3:00pm - 4:00pm, with the supervision of the middle school site coordinator. You will work closely with our multilingual students to:
- Build self-confidence and positive study habits
- Gail insight into oneself as a learner with unique interests
- Focus on high school readiness and leadership
Please consider sharing your valuable life experience and insight as a caring and trusted individual with middle school aged students. You do not have to be the parent or caregiver of a Lincoln student to participate!
