The Learning Commons is open in the PM today.

There is Advanced Related Arts today.

There is no Comic Book Club on Monday, January 22nd.

ACCESS Workshops are happening today  after school.
Come to ROOM 307 from 2:15-3:15 p.m. to get ready for the ACCESS Test.Thursday's workshop will focus on Reading and Friday's workshop will focus on Listening.We hope to see you there!

LMS has a partnership with the Locker Project
which gives us free food to help families--we have soup,spaghetti,macaroni and cheese,rice, and cereal. Please see Ms.Randall in student services if you would like to bring some food home to your family---we all need some extra help sometimes.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!
Snow has fallen and will be with us for a while. Please remember, the SNOW is to STAY ON THE GROUND!! Do not pick it up for any reason, there is to be no throwing of snow on school grounds ever. Students are reminded, as the weather gets colder, please sign in at the main office
to see a teacher prior to the start of the school day.  Otherwise, ALL students should be in either the cafeteria OR the gazebo area until the bell rings.  No students should be in classrooms without permission from a
teacher.

The 2017-2018 yearbooks are now available for pre-order only.
They are $25 and will be on sale until March 1. Please be sure to order yours as there are NO extras once they arrive in June! You can order online or at school. Please see Mrs. Bailey in room 307A or someone in the main office to be sure you get a yearbook ordered before it's too late.

***Do you have a favorite quote you reference from your favorite book?
Do you have a favorite song with lyrics you never forget?  Please write down your "favorites" and place them in the box outside room 307A.  The quotes will appear in the yearbook. One lucky person will be chosen to receive a FREE yearbook so don't forget to tell us your name on your form!**

Sports Today:
8th grade Boys and Girls are at SMC. Start time is 3:30pm Boys play first.  7th grade Boys are at home vs SMC, start time 3:30pm.

Mr. Freeman will be signing up all interested in participating  on the middle swim team and wrestling team.
This will be done at lunch time. All should make sure physicals are up to date. There will be no participation without a current physical.

2nd Quarter ends on January 26th.
  This is a change from January 19th, due to snow days.

NWEA Winter Assesments will take place on the following days:
  6th grade - January 16th; 7th grade - January 18; 8th grade - January 19.

5210 Wellness Team is offering students an opportunity for physical activity
before school in the Gym between now and April Vacation on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 7:20 - 7:40am. 

Box tops for Education
- The PTO is running a Box Top fundraiser competition.  The house with the most box tops collected during the competition will win a popsicle party!  Students are asked to bring in their box tops and put them in the collection container in their Lions" Pride room.  The competition starts Thursday, 1/18 and runs through 5/15.  Counts will be updated and posted each month to promote some healthy competition and school spirit!

A late bus will be available for students who are eligible for transportation every afternoon but Wednesday
.The late bus will arrive at 3:30pm. Any student planning to take the late bus must get a pass from the staff member they are staying after with.  After 3:15 when many activities will end, students waiting for the late bus must report to the music room to wait in a supervised location.  Students may NOT wait outside or leave school grounds prior to taking the bus and no students will be allowed to board the bus without a pass.

Drama Club
meets on Mondays, after school in the Learning Commons.

Technology Club
will meet on Mondays, at 2:20 in Room G8. Everyone is invited! 

Comic Book Club
meets on Mondays after school in room G4, Mrs. Hager's room on the ground floor.  See you there. There is no Comic Book Club on Monday, January 22nd.

Cup stacking club
meets on Tuesdays. You’ll be learning how to cup stack, stack in different ways, meet new friends and have some fun. The club will meet in Mr. Hardy’s room #105 from 2:15 - 3:30. No experience necessary!

Game Club
meets on Tuesdays in room 301! We will resume Tuesday 1/23 in room 301, all grade levels welcome. The Civil Rights Team meets on Tuesdays  in the Learning Commons. New members are always welcome!

Dungeons and Dragons Club
(D&D) will be meeting every Tuesday after school in room 205 until 3:35.

NERD Club
will meet on Tuesdays after school in Ms. Amato's rm 111.

6th grade math team
  meets Monday after school and  on Wednesday mornings at 7:15am in Ms. Amatos's room 111.

Lincoln's MakerSpace
will meet on Thursdays after school 2:30-3:30 in the MakerSpace room located on the ground floor next to Engineering Technology. Come join a community of creators and learn skills to build your ideas.  Makerspace will start again today, Thursday, January 18. It's a new session, everyone is welcome. Cooking Club meets Thursdays. All members will need to remember to bring their book and bag with them to each meeting.

Anyone at LMS who is an ally or member of the LGBTQ+ community is welcome to come to SAGA! 
Lincoln's Sexuality and Gender Acceptance Club meets on Thursdays after school in Ms. Briley's room, 304, from 2:20-3:15. This student-led club's focus is to build an accepting school community. We are also currently planning the script for a short film.

The 5210 student wellness committee
meets every Thursday in Room 105 at 2:20pm. If you like promoting healthy eating and physical activity to your peers this is the club for you.  Come and make your voice and ideas heard. 

LMS Mindfullness group
will meet every Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 in the Learning Commons and will involve gentle yoga and guided seated meditation. All students and staff are welcome.

7th and 8th grade math teams
will meet on Fridays from 7:15-7:40 am. Please see Mrs. Guillerault in 204 if you are interested!

MathCounts
will meet Friday afternoons in room 302.  All mathletes in grades 6 through 8 are welcome to attend.
