The Portland School Committee begins the search for a new Superintendent with a series of community forums beginning April 29.  Lori Gramlich, Personnel Committee Chair, on behalf of the School Committee, encourages staff, parent and community input into the needed qualifications for a new superintendent.

Three community forums are currently scheduled:

·        Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 PM at the King Middle School Media Center,

·        Thursday, May 1 at 6:30 PM at the Lyseth Elementary School Library,

·        Tuesday, May 6 at 6:30 PM at the Deering High School Cafeteria.

Gramlich will outline the hiring process and seek feedback regarding specific competency areas that are most important to the community as the School Committee selects a new superintendent.
