Summary:
The book Weasel is about a girl and boy who hear stories about a man who is part animal. This man one day went to their house and told them that their grandfather was missing and the man said he knew where he was. The girl and boy followed the man to their grandfather who was ill. There are these Indians that live there also and the government doesn’t want them their, so they sent out the Weasel which either kills the Shawnees or scares them away. The Weasel is a part man, part weasel animal and can fit through anything that its head can go through. The Weasel scares and kills the Shawnees for fun, but the government uses the Weasel as a tool to get the Indians out.

Review:
What do you think of when you hear the name Weasel? I used to think of that name being an animal but now I think of it as a part man and part human creature. Like a weasel, it hunts at night and sleeps at day. The Weasel carries around a rifle and knows a lot of people from the land. The weasel was brought here by the government to get the Indians out of the land. The Weasel does his work for fun and doesn’t care what it has to do to get them out.
The main characters are a boy named Nathan who is about 13 years old, a girlnamed Molly, and Pa. Nathan’s mom died a couple of years ago. There is also a man named Ezra who leads the boy and girl to find their Pa. He is kind of quiet. The Weasel wears a hat with brown colored pants and a long sleeve shirt.
One event in this story is when the man goes to their house and tells/shows where there Pa is. The boy’s Pa went out hunting and never came home that night. So the boy and girl take off with this man who lead them to their Pa and he's badly injured, from the Weasel. Their Pa had tried to convince the boy and girl that their was no Weasel. And now that gives the boy more of a reason to go looking for the Weasel. Another scary event in this story is when Nathan is captured by the Weasel. The Weasel ties Nathan up and then Nathan figures out a plan to escape from the Weasel. Nathan tells him that he needs to go to the bathroom and tells the Weasel to untie him so he can go. The Weasel was drinking whiskey and was drunk, so Nathan takes that as an advantage. Nathan stole the Weasel’s gun and ran off outside and ran to try to get to Ezra’s house. He finally makes it there.
