Review:
What would you do if you found a treasure map
every pirate would kill to get? What would you do if you found out the crew
that was helping you find the treasure only wanted it for themselves? Well
I don't expect you to have reacted well, but Jim Hawkins goes up against
all the odds to survive and keep the treasure map away from the blood thirsty
pirates of Captain Silver.
In this book Jim Hawkins finds a mysterious
map that leads to Captain Flints treasure ( the meanest pirate scum there
ever was.) Jim goes on a voyage to get to treasure island and his ship gets
taken over by mutineers. Jim has to go past obstacles not even a grown man
could do on his own and makes you think about what a child your age can
do in a tough situation.
The book, Treasure Island is an exiting and action
packed book. In one scene Jim Hawkins rows a small boat to the Hispaniola
to take it back from the pirates that had control of it. He gets to the
ship and finds that the two pirates on board were both attacking each other
and the one that survived was badly wounded. Jim declares himself captain
of the Hispaniola and attempts to sail it towards his friends but the surviving
pirate that was kept alive and attacked Jim with a dirk. Jim got stabbed
with the dirk and blacked out and ends up on enemy lines!
In the book, Treasure Island there are many fighting
scenes, mysterious treasures and pirates. If you like these things then
you should look into Treasure Island, a book by Robert Louis Stevenson,
a very action packed book.
