We want to extend our greetings to our returning families and the new members of our school community.
This year we will be keeping you updated about upcoming events, activities and opportunities here on our LMS website. We hope you will check it regularly.
The first few weeks of school are sometimes difficult for students. We hope you will let us know if your student is having a hard time adjusting so that we can give them some support in the transition. Also, please alert us if there has been a “life event”, a loss, family change, etc. that may be affecting your child’s school success. We are happy to meet with your child, and/or with you, or to arrange a meeting with teachers to help your child feel comfortable here at Lincoln.
This year we are fortunate to have two counselors from Spurwink Agency who are available to help. If you think your child may benefit by regular sessions with a counselor who specializes in helping adolescents, please let us know.
As the school year begins, we are in classrooms introducing or re-introducing ourselves and the role we play here at Lincoln. We are also working with 6th grade teachers and Mrs. Santiago to give our new students tips on how to develop the habits that lead to being a successful student. We continue to adjust schedules so that each student has the level of support that best meets his/her needs.
