AGENDA FOR WEEK OF 9/18/17:
What is a permaculture garden and what is growing in Lincoln's permaculture garden? The beginning of the week will consist of a discovery into what is growing in our school's permaculture garden. We will take a short break from our soils lessons to harvest herbs and find common foods/recipes that utilize these fresh herbs. Herbs will be available at the Locker Project table during Open House this Tuesday from 6:30-7:30!

We will finish the rest of the week with the basil from our outdoor dome gardens. Students will research ideal soil conditions for growing basil along with learning various methods for preparing basil for later use and consumption.

AGENDA FOR WEEK OF 9/11/17:
Last week we focused on the importance of clean water and how small of a percentage of all water on Earth is available to us. Students designed and created a water filtration system to filter dirt and debris from dirty water.

This week we will focus on soil. Students will learn its role in starting seeds along with growing plants. We will be conducting soil tests in the dome before and after amending with compost. This will transition us to planting next week. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRESSED FOR WORKING OUTSIDE!
